In the month of July, we had the wonderful privilege of attending the PhD theses defense of Gloria Ramirez and Carlos Benitez (Carlitos). They have brightened us up with beautiful presentations and scientific discussions promoted by themselves, with their examination board.

The theses titles were:

– Gloria: Effect of a toothpaste containing oleanolic acid on the reduction of gingivitis: a Randomized Clinical Trial, double blind.

– Carlos: Peri-implant tissue changes at sites treated with alveolar ridge preservation in the esthetic zone: twenty-two months follow-up of  a randomized clinical trial

And, despite the pandemic, it was possible to watch them, transmit our warmth and emotion regardless of the distance (because the event was online), and with great pleasure we managed to honor them.

Our wishes are that this new phase will be very successful for the two LAOHA brothers. May we live more moments of conquests like these in their lives. Now, Mariana and Gerson are preparing to join the team of new PhDs following in the footsteps of the newly PhDs, Gloria and Carlitos.
